I absolutely agree with the 2nd reviewer. Heard about Housel's from a few friends who highly recommended them and decided to give them a try about 3 years ago. Could not be happier. Far from taking advantage of anyone - they stand behind their work. They now work on all our extended family's cars and I am delighted with the work they do. Example: I had a faulty O2 sensor, brought the car in and they installed a new one. A year later, I had the same issue. I went in to pick up the car and was told there was no charge. He knew that he had replaced that sensor previously, checked the dates, found it was under warranty and replaced it for no charge (part or labor). Sometimes, I fell like I'm the one taking advantage lol. Friendly people who know what they are doing and give great service - 100% reliable.
Great people to do business with, always a pleasure!
I spent many years as a single woman with a complicated car - and as you can imagine - my experience with auto shops was not always helpful. But Housel's has changed my view about these places. This is the most honest, helpful and friendly group I have ever met. They even tell you when you don't need what you think you need. 100% of the time it costs less than I thought it would and takes less time than I thought it would. And 100% of the time you are greeted like family. I just can't recommend them highly enough. I was very confused when I saw the poor review, because it couldn't be more different from my experiences with Housel's.
This guy is a crook. Took vehicle in for service and was told needed front brakes and rear brake repair. Decided to have him put on new tires and alignment. (had to send out alignment) Went elsewhere to get the brake work done. Mechanic informed me that the brakes on front and rear where fine with no problems. Takes advantage of people apparently.
Takes care of close family vehicle repair, is very trustworthy and family oriented. I'm a senior master tech myself and see a previous review as a joke. This shop probably noticed uneven wear, cracking pad linings, lack of lubrication at contact points, rusted rotors, etc. Very possible that second "mechanic" overlooked a good find. I've found turbo bearings bad and had another shop say they were fine, even though I am a diesel tech and compressor wheel was about to touch housing. Perfect example, lol. I know many people that go here and all of them have good things to say as do I.
